Auto-Injector Final Pack Line

Description: In-Line Assembly System to load and thread cartridge to syringe housing with inspection

Rate: 80 parts per min.

Platform: Chain conveyor with Delrin pucks

Challenge to Solution: Accurately handle, load and thread glass cartridges to a plastic syringe housing at rate to meet equipment performance. Our solution was a custom loading station that housed a feed screw to accurately stage cartridges for loading, along with a custom designed threading station that utilized Servo motion and an encoder wheel sensor to thread the cartridges to accurate torque specifications.

Technologies:
–         Flexible Chain Conveyor
–         Encoder-aided Torqueing
–         Assembly Vision Inspection
–         Integration of downstream labeling and packaging equipment
