R + D Custom Automation, a leading manufacturer of custom automation equipment, is currently looking for an Electrical Assembler / Field Wire / Pneumatic Assembly to join our team.  We are searching for a highly motivated, self- starter who has a passion for Mechanical Engineering and wants to develop these skills in the Medical/Pharmaceutical and Consumer goods industries.

 

Electrical Assembler / Field Wire / Pneumatic Assembly Opportunities:

  • Assemble electrical/electronic systems or support structures and install components, subassemblies, wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Position, align, or adjust work pieces and/or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly
  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide opening for elements, wiring or instruments
  • Read blueprints, electric and pneumatic schematic drawings.
  • Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation

 

Electrical Assembler / Field Wire / Pneumatic Assembly Requirements:

  • Applying knowledge of electronic theory and components
  • Manage multiple projects with the flexibility of adapting to changing priorities
  • Must be willing to work independently
  • Must be effective and comfortable in team oriented environment
  • Off-site Installations with minimal travel

Machinist / Tool Maker/ Journeyman

Machinist / Tool Maker / Journeyman

 

If you are a creative thinker and like a variety in your job, then R+D Custom Automation would like to talk with you about joining our team as a Machinist / Tool Maker / Journeyman.  This position offers the opportunity to work in several areas of the fabrication process.

 

R + D Custom Automation, a leading manufacturer of custom automation equipment, is currently seeking an impact, team player who is a highly motivated,  self starter with a passion for CNC Machining in the Medical/Pharmaceutical and Consumer goods industries.

 

Machinist / Tool Maker / Journeyman Opportunities:

 

  • Operates various measuring tools as required.
  • Performs initial assessment of machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and makes adjustments as required.
  • Accurately selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.
  • Performs fit review during machining process to ensure all parts/components accurately fit in assembly.
  • Implements needed changes to fabricated parts and document changes.

 

Machinist / Tool Maker / Journeyman Requirements:

 

  • 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Mechanical Assembler / Machine Builder Opportunities:

  • Assemble parts or units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools
  • Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
  • Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manuals and plan assembly
  • Verify conformance of parts to stock using calipers, gauges, or micrometers

Mechanical Assembler / Machine Builder Requirements

  • Build prototypes from rough sketches or verbal instructions, a plus
  • Set up and operate metalworking machines, such as milling or grinding machines, to shape or fabricate parts
  • Manage multiple projects with the flexibility of adapting to changing priorities

  • Must be effective and comfortable in team oriented environment

Mechanical Designer / Draftsperson /  Mechatronics Designer / Detailer Opportunites Using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks:

 

Job Description for Engineering Draftsman / Draftsperson / Designer / CAD Technician / Detailer:

  • Layout and design electro-mechanical equipment from engineering notes and sketches.
  • Create detail and assembly drawings for systems and products including instruments, robotics, assembly machines and additional mechanical, thermal, and heat transfers systems.
  • Update detail and assembly drawings
  • Update electrical / pneumatic drawings
  • Work in a hands-on environment with advanced technologies.
  • Follow standard drafting procedures and best practices.
  • Create concept drawings for sales support.
  • Assist sales department in preparing estimates and quotes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Engineering Draftsman / Draftsperson / Designer / CAD Technician / Detailer Requirements:

 SolidWorks design experience

  • AutoCAD mechanical design experience
  • Strong skills in MS Office products
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Can communicate clearly with others in a professional manner
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD, drafting, or related area of expertise
  • Availability to work overtime as needed

Additional Information:

  • Standard working hours are M-F 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • An ideal candidate will have the capability to grow into a Design Engineer role within 5 years.

  • Researches and analyzes requirements to determine feasibility of design.
  • Design and Engineering from concept through implementation.
  • Oversees build and debug activities to ensure products conform to customer specifications.
  • Managing all aspects of project execution.

Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer / Machine Designer Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable knowledge/experience required.

  • Three to five years of systems development experience required.
  • Proficient in Solidworks including technical expertise in 3D modeling and solid modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, etc.
