Celebrating 40 Years in Business

Custom AutomationAt R+D Custom Automation, we are celebrating 40 years in business in Lake Villa, Ill. From our humble beginnings in 1977 as a small tool-and-die shop, to what has now evolved into a corporation serving some of the most trusted and recognized names in the life sciences industry, we believe that our commitment to quality, integrity, and customer service has been the foundation of our success.

Adapting to industry regulations and standards, while sustaining a healthy business model has allowed us to thrive where competitors have failed.
Cultivating and fostering relationships has played a big part in our success as well, but it’s not just the professional relationships that have given us growth, equally important are the relationships we’ve built with our employees. A group of both young, ambitious and experienced engineers, machinists, and assemblers have helped build R+D’s brand as a trusted supplier of quality custom automation equipment.

Our veteran employees are celebrating 25, 30, and 35 year anniversaries and are helping mold our newer employees into masters of their trade. We have equipment deployed within the U.S. and all throughout the world including locations such as Ireland, Germany, India, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Our plan for continued growth involves maintaining healthy relationships with our customers, offering unrivaled benefits for employees, and focusing on driving new business in our niche market, custom automation equipment for clients residing in the life sciences sector.
