Account Manager

Account Manager

 R + D Custom Automation, a leading manufacturer of custom automation equipment, is currently looking for an Account Manager to join our team.  R + D Custom Automation is searching for a highly motivated, self- starter who has a passion for Account Management in the Life Science industries.  We are located near the Wisconsin/Illinois border.

 We are looking for a passionate Account Manager who will partner with and ensure the long-term success with our customers.  You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your portfolio of assigned customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.  You will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed

Position Requirements

  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 5 years experience in account management

Job Description for Engineering Draftsman / Draftsperson / Designer / CAD Technician / Detailer:

  • Layout and design electro-mechanical equipment from engineering notes and sketches.
  • Create detail and assembly drawings for systems and products including instruments, robotics, assembly machines and additional mechanical, thermal, and heat transfers systems.
  • Update detail and assembly drawings
  • Update electrical / pneumatic drawings
  • Work in a hands-on environment with advanced technologies.
  • Follow standard drafting procedures and best practices.
  • Create concept drawings for sales support.
  • Assist sales department in preparing estimates and quotes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Engineering Draftsman / Draftsperson / Designer / CAD Technician / Detailer Requirements:

 SolidWorks design experience

  • AutoCAD mechanical design experience
  • Strong skills in MS Office products
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Can communicate clearly with others in a professional manner
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD, drafting, or related area of expertise
  • Availability to work overtime as needed

Additional Information:

  • Standard working hours are M-F 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Machinist / Tool Maker / Journeyman Opportunities:

 

  • Operates various measuring tools as required.
  • Performs initial assessment of machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and makes adjustments as required.
  • Accurately selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.
  • Performs fit review during machining process to ensure all parts/components accurately fit in assembly.
  • Implements needed changes to fabricated parts and document changes.

 

Machinist / Tool Maker / Journeyman Requirements:

 

  • 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
